A butter tartlet with layers of liquorice cream and praline, with the crunchy texture of cereals adding a surprising contrast, topped with chocolate cream sprinkled with cocoa and decorated with pink chocolate shavings, crushed hazelnuts, red berries and fresh mint or peppermint.  A delicious and colourful sweet served with a refreshing touch of strawberry ice cream, resulting in an irresistible combination. 

This exclusive dish can be enjoyed as part of the menu included in the Paradores 'Romantic February 2024 package, which offers a one-night half-board stay for two people including wine, between 1 and 29 February at all the network's establishments -except Hondarribia and, in the case of Cádiz, not between 9 and 18 February. There is also another chance to try this dessert, as during the next month you will find it at the top of the restaurant's dessert menu. Whatever the case, now is the perfect time to enjoy a host of unique experiences at Paradores so that the flame never goes out.

A magical place that inspires romance is the Parador de la Palma. It is no wonder the island is popularly known as "La Isla Bonita" (the beautiful island). On your trip, you will discover beautiful spots that are well worth exploring as a couple. In this World Biosphere Reserve, you can wander through volcanic landscapes, formidable cliffs, arid coastlines and, of course, laurel forests. Are you looking for an experience that will leave you open-mouthed? Then do not hesitate to explore La Caldera de Taburiente, a wild terrain full of steep ravines, streams, waterfalls and groves of Canary Island pine. But, taking advantage of the sentimental occasion, why not contemplate the beautiful views together from the Roque de los Muchachos viewpoint, the highest point on the island? As you can see, in the area surrounding the Parador there are plenty of ideas for a dreamy few days.

From the beauty of the islands we move on to the grandeur of the Picos de Europa where a magnificent hotel is the Parador de Cangas de Onís. The rooms, decorated with stone and wood, offering a warm and traditional ambience, offer you an incomparable hideaway so that nothing and no one can interrupt your romantic getaway. Not to mention the splendid Asturian landscape that can be seen from here. In the surrounding area there are several options available. A few days away in Mojácar should not be left exclusively for the summer. In this season, we enjoy temperatures that are just right for strolling along the 17 kilometres of beach and picturesque spots in their most natural state, free from the crowds that visit at other times of the year. Very close to the Parador, there are a multitude of options that take you beyond the coast. Visit the historic quarter of the town, where the legendary white houses, narrow streets and pretty squares will impress you. Another essential stop is at Cabo de Gata Natural Park, a place that offers views of the impressive volcanic cliffs, natural beaches and inaccessible hidden coves. Be ready to take loads of selfies.

If you want to take your trip to the next level, the Parador de León is the place for you. It is perhaps one of the city's most representative monuments, as its imposing Plateresque façade is one of the best preserved. Inside, the art in every corner of the building cannot fail to impress. This museum, which includes classical and contemporary works, will seduce you wherever you look: the incredible ceiling of the Lucio Muñoz cafeteria, the 16th-century choir stalls or the exclusive collection of 32 oil paintings by the artist José Vela Zanetti. From the moment you get up until you go to bed, you will have the opportunity to soak up art and history without going far away. And outside the establishment there are also tourist attractions worth seeing. There is nothing better for this time of year than a stroll through the so-called Romantic Quarter or the splendid Plaza Mayor.

With historical tradition in mind, we should not forget the Parador de Santiago de Compostela. This former Royal Hospital, founded by the Catholic Monarchs, has welcomed thousands of pilgrims over the years. Today it has become established as one of the most emblematic buildings of the Galician city. Everything you can imagine doing is possible in the vicinity of the Parador. Starting from the Plaza del Obradoiro, its location, walk through the historic quarter and discover the charms of the city, declared a World Heritage Site. Save a space in your stomach because the cuisine is another of the strong points.
