Starting in the north with Cambados, the land of Albariño wine, it´s worth it to stop in O Grove, Sanxenxo, Pontevedra and take the Ruta da Pedra e da Auga, all amazing plan while in the province of Pontevedra in Galicia.

 

Cambados

Cambados is a town of the province of Pontevedra commonly known as the land of the Albariño wine, a famous Spanish white wine. O Grove

Have you ever heard about the famous church covered with sea shells? Well this original monument is located in the island of A Toxa in O Grove and it is definitely worth visiting. Besides this island, O Grove is mainly known for its beautiful beaches, such as the popular beach of La Lanzada which has more than 2km long of blue water and fine golden sand and is perfect for taking a walk or a dip, but keep in mind that the water in Galicia and in this beach is really cold. 

Also, in o Grove, don´t miss the chance to stroll along the streets and discover this fisher's town with live and charm. Besides, take advantage and walk along the wooden promenade in the area of San Vicente. The path offers a route through nature and rocks with beautiful views of the coast.

To get from the Parador de Cambados to O Grove you have to take a 19km drive through the P=-550.

Sanxenxo

Elegant and with a lot of life, that´s Sanxenxo, one other coastal village of the Rias Baixas that will definitely fascinate you. The beautiful beach of Sanxenxo called beach of El Silgar, and the promenade, allow you to spend the day sunbathing and having fun in the water, and then taking a stroll along the promenade while having a coffe or a drink in one of the many bars in restaurants.  Also, Sanxenxo is known for its active night live, which happens mostly in the pubs and discos located in the port of the town.

The easiest way to get from the Parador de Cambados to Sanxenxo is by taking a 20 minutes' drive through the AG-41.

Ruta da Pedra e da Auga

In the province of Pontevedra, there are many routes available. The route of the Pedra e da Auga is a special route in which you will experience nature, admire many water mills and end up at the beautiful Monastery of Armenteira.

The name of this route comes from what you will encounter in the path, "Pedra" which means stone, material with which the mills are made and "Auga" which means water, the water of the Armenteira river that goes along the path of the route.
